Privacy policy
This policy explains how Bangalore Gold Rate (“we”, “us”), operating goldratetodaybangalore.com, handles personal data. We collect as little as possible: you can use every feature of the site without giving us any personal details.
Data we collect
- Technical request data. When you visit, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers, create user accounts or sell personal data. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, and the numbers you enter aren’t sent to us. See our cookie policy.
Why we use it
- Request data: to serve pages, keep the site secure and fix technical problems.
- Emails: to reply to you and to correct errors you report.
How long we keep it
- Request logs are kept only for the short period our hosting provider retains them for security and debugging.
- Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message, then deleted.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers needed to run the site, such as Cloudflare (hosting and security) and our email provider, and only for those purposes. We will disclose data if the law requires it. Cloudflare may process data outside India; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. To make a request, email us from the address you used to contact us.
Children
The site is meant for adults buying or selling gold and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect children’s data.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. We keep the data we hold to a minimum and limit access to it.
Grievances and contact
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email contact@goldratetodaybangalore.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you aren’t satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we add analytics, advertising or any new kind of data collection, we will update this policy before doing so. The date below shows the latest version.
